Tronno Triggerfish Training Report 11/11/12

Remembrance Day today (yesterday)!

Lest We Forget…

A balmy, unseasonal Autumn-cum-Winter’s day… giggles??… Moving along…

HOUSE LEAGUE ROUND 3

A surprisingly smaller crowd than normal today down at House League… Some of the regular competitive powerhouse players were a no-show which meant all the better for those that wanted to develop their match skills and hopefully get some goals under their belt! :D… This is all GREAT preparation for the RMC Tournament coming up in Kingston at the end of the month!!!

People were once again divided into one of 3 teams.  The teams had a great mixture of guppies, recs and competitive… with plenty of water time for all :D… splashing and kicking and throwing and splashing and catching and dropping and splashing!… Four 5 minute quarters for each game meant 40 minutes of game play for each team… Coach Lawrence was flexing his coaching muscles in preparation for Kingston. He gave useful advice to teams for each half of every game… General useful comments such as ‘swim back’ and ‘safe passes’ seem to be the main message, which lets be honest is probably the foundation of water polo!

Unfortunately I had to run off for dinner with my brother as it was his last night in Tronno but lucky for me, my in-field correspondent Jerry texted me with some match statistics!

Also in ‘Fighting Fish News’ the teams for the RMC tournament have been announced!…

Finally a few reminders from past training reports:

– London is still looking for support to host the 2018 Gay Games… These boys and girls know how to throw a party (ask Charles if you need confirmation)… Join the Facebook Group: London 2018 to stay and in touch or visit the website to see how you can make this dream become a reality
– Aches or pains?? Why not get in contact with ME, I’m getting itchy fingers from not having done any work for a while so am free to have a poke and prod if you think your shoulder is feeling a but dicky or your knee is a bit gammy!
– Join the IGLA Water Polo Group  on Facebook to keep in touch with the various LGBT water polo tournaments happening around the world… who knows? maybe you’ll have a business trip to Paris on the 18th May 2013 or in Manchester on the 25th May 2013… #justsayin
– Also keep an eye out for the new format of Fish Food which will hopefully be hitting your inboxes later today! 🙂

Competitive practice is on this Friday again at 10-11pm
