Oh my… 20 triggerfish turned up for Hump Day training… It’s been a long time since I’ve had to work three days in a row, and I wasn’t exactly feeling as spritely as I normally would be. I do blame ‘Paul’ the Indian man in my orientation group for CAMH who basically was ‘that person’ in a group discussion.
‘Please give us a brief introduction about who you are, where you’re working and something interesting about you’
*Paul stands up, head bobble*
‘Well, my name is Paulahabjigabalwanahan, but my friends you can call me Paul. I first came to Canada in 2001…’
*internalised groan from me*
Paul was a very interesting character, when asked to describe what you would hear if someone was frustrated he replied
‘Hello, friends! the person would be using words to show she was frustrated and saying frustrating things’
the Facilitator then replied by saying ‘Can you give us an example of what they would say’
*pause* ‘I am frustrated…’
*puts two pens up my nose and slams head down on table*
Anyway back to the things that matter. A few quick laps to warm up and it was straight into some cross face and change of direction passing. Coach Christi then split us into two groups and the drill was to work on a ‘stunting’ defence between 2,3 and 4… This was JUST the beginning of Coach Christi’s frustration…
It was then into 20 minutes of cross pool scrimmage which in one word could be described as
Coach Christi ended the session with some great feedback… ‘great physicality today everyone, it is also important that you show up mentally too tho’… hrrmmmms sounded like one of those compliments you give your friend when they turn up wearing something hideous and you say ‘ooooo I like what you’ve done with… that novelty brooch’… side note: no one wears novelty brooches…
We all have bad days, like this dog!

So Sunday is a new day, let go and let God, one day at a time! And remember, be grateful that your dog does not look like this from above!
